Help needed - Pimp posts!

My question of the week is: why did you start watching The 100?

For me it was persistent Netflix advertising combined with a few positive reviews on my flist/dwircle that pushed me over the edge.

I'm interested in putting together a list of pimp posts as an easy place to point people who may be looking for non-spoilery reasons to watch the show from fandom. They don't have to be flashy or anything, but if you wrote one or read one that made you want to watch the show, link me in comments.

I started watching because it featured a spaceship...I waited until season 2 was finished and renewed for season 3 before starting because I hate when I get into a show and the networks kill it too soon.

When I first started watching I was a little skeptical because I was worried that it would be relationship drama in a cool but wasted setting. The adults' storyline in season 1 definitely kept me going.

I first watched during the season 1-2 hiatus, and around December when all the fandom was worried about renewal - and season 2 was so good I almost couldn't stand it, I had to keep reminding myself that I had little to no control about renewal. If they'd been cancelled it would have been like Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicals, a show cut down in its prime and I would have been devastated. So very glad they survived!

I was so sad when Sarah Conner Chronicles was canceled and I'm glad they renewed the 100 for another season! My fear was that they wouldn't wrap up the story.

I can definitely tell you that I had no idea going in that it would be a show about child soldiers, or that it would be so affecting and relevant to me. I hardly ever am able to be entertained by shows about teenagers. The 100 is a notable exception.

Me either. I'm not sure what my expectations were but the show far exceeded them. I was definitely wary of a show about teenagers because I was burned a little by Teen Wolf, and also my patience has gotten thinner for traditional teen drama as I get older. One thing I love about this show is that it commits to its characters decisions and follows through on the consequences.

The lack of wrap up is terrifying, especially when it's so clear that they have a vision for how it will go.

SCC was like a knife to the heart because they also knew where they were going, and had done so much with season 2. I still miss that show.
