Why this piece is awesome: Okay, this one I'm including because it's funny. It's a cartoonish style portrait of Clarke as a rather surprised grounder. It made me laugh.

Why this piece is awesome: This drawing of Bellamy is dark with a textured layer that gives it a worn photograph feel. It's an excellently drawn portrait with Bellamy staring at the viewer with a set and determined jaw that really gets across the tone that this is about survival.

Why this piece is awesome: Kane and Abby from season 3, I love the two of them together here, holding on and gazing lovingly at each other. It's pencil, I think, so the drawing is in shades of gray but with crisp lines and subtle shading that really bring them to life.

Why this piece is awesome: This piece of art is serious business: the technique and skill of the artist takes its subject completely seriously, with excellent detail and vibrant color that shows off Lexa in action with her swords and full battle dress. Except Lexa here is her alternate universe raccoon bad self. It's great and funny and still a beautiful piece.

Why this piece is awesome: This is a combined medium piece, with a drawn layer over a digital edit layer. What I love about this is that sketch portrait of Raven is highlighted by the metal crane that Finn made her in the background, with textures and colors that give the piece depth.

Why this piece is awesome: The detail on this is amazing. It's a scene from the show of two characters who are currently enemies (Octavia's wounded, hence the carrying) and the piece without the scenery really focuses on the two of them. I also really love how the artist does hair.

Why this piece is awesome: This piece can be read as slash or gen, but either way it hits my buttons of two people who used to be friends, had a massive betrayal, and then work through it to become friends again. I love the harsh lines and the way that Murphy, whose face you see, is really holding onto Bellamy. Murphy really needs a hug and this piece captures that.

Why this piece is awesome: I love the color in this piece. It's set in blue which gives the whole thing a very soft, night feel that gives Clarke and Lexa sharing a moment a very intimate feel.

Why this piece is awesome: This is a semi-abstract piece, in that it's about Clarke, but focuses on different parts of her. You don't see her face, but the artist has included her hands, her lower body in profile with a weapon, the back of her head approaching a door that she can't walk back out of. It's looking at the internal consequences of her actions, hard lines and spare colors that I think works pretty well.

Why this piece is awesome: This is a bold portrait of Clarke, leader of the the people who fell from the sky dressed in the gear and warpaint of the Grounders. I love the color, and the mixing of themes of the sky people becoming one with the people they were originally enemies with.

Why this piece is awesome: The black and white drawing is heavily stylized, and fairly simple. I love it because it shows strong contrasts while still capturing the essence of who Octavia becomes. The text is in Trigedasleng and means "Get smacked down, get up again another time."

Why this piece is awesome: This is a portrait of the grounder Commander Lexa which just blew me away when I saw it. The detail is incredible, capturing the layers here of warpaint, dirt, and blood. I love that it's black and white, but still feels like the character is just waiting to walk to life.

For fic I tend to read more Clarke/Bellamy than Clarke/Lexa, so my recs tend to reflect that. If you want to see more Clarke/Lexa fics recced, then please feel free to post your own rec set. I'd love to see what you've found. (When I re-read that it sounds sarcastic, but I'm really not. The more reccers the merrier to get a good representation of fic is one of my hopes for this community.)
