First it must be said that Luna is a total badass and I respect her so much. She sticks by her principles, doesn't give in to Clarke's truly awful pressure, and walks the walk.
I mean, sucks for our heroes, but I was kinda against them forcibly chipping her when Clarke first brought it up. CLARKE THAT WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA AND I'M GLAD IT DIDN'T WORK.
Poor Jasper making a friend who then dies. They really do suck at not bringing death to everyone they touch.

Meanwhile in Polis, Murphy is the defacto leader of the trio of rebels and it's awesome, until they mess up killing Alie, that is. But I'm happy that he's still worried about Emori - I really hope the two of them get a happy ending.
Pike, ugh.
Indra and the gun! Oh no! What do you want to bet that she had a make or break moment in the next two episodes where she has to fire that weapon.

Monty and Harper! I approve - they're good together.
Raven and Monty with the mainframe - the actors killed it. Watching them both fighting together with their own battles. Raven giving Monty the choice of what to do about his mom, and when he goes through with it and they're both crying. My heart!
I feel like Monty has been mourning his mom since he shot her. Shooting her was so visceral and final an act that was also such a surprise to him that even knowing intellectually that her mind is around, that she could come back but never in the same way because she wouldn't have a body. He had time to get his head around the fact that she was gone, and here he got a goodbye.

Everyone just misses Alie. Dammit. And now she's in what's left of the Ark? I did not see that one coming.
The end was so cool! I loved the music, it was nicely orchestrated--very playful, grand, and inquisitive like the delinquients are about to embark on an epic journey. Luna rejecting the chip and then dumping everyone back onto the mainland was great. It sucks for the deliquents, but it makes perfect sense for Luna. I wonder if she won't have any other big part in s3 but will be bigger in s4. Like this was her introduction but she's not actually going to have a big part. I love the twist that she ran away since she would have been the won to win, and she refused to kill so many people.
I'm not really sure how to feel about Monty and Harper, mostly since Monty didn't really seem that into it. It reminded me a lot of Bellamy and Raven having sex in s1 as a hook up, never to be mentioned again. I like how Monty was so excited that someone wanted to have sex with him. lol I admit that I lowkey ship Jasper/Monty with the fire of a thousand burning suns, so I am 100% biased. But, idk, I feel like if it were more than just a hook up, the show would have developed it more since it loves its slowburns. And Monty deserves an epic slowburn romance because he's awesome. I'd also like Harper to get an actual subplot of her own.
The Murphy/Emori scenes killed me. All of Murphy's reactions, saying no, don't kill her, how he couldn't destroy the thing, his face with ALIE!Emori laughed and said he was too late. Ugh, I need Emori to be okay in the finale, I need this.
Perhaps I'm confused but doesn't this episode confirm that it's just a copy of their minds in the City of Light? So if you destroy their files, you just destroy ALIE's file and access to the people. So I guess no one has to die if they destroy the City of Light, which is making me think that may happen, where everyone days, because this is The 100 and nothing stays hopeful for long... idk.
also, lol. I was going crazy this season trying to find a place without drama to talk about The 100 and forgot this community existed because I forgot to click "subscribe." So much pain could have been avoided throughout all the drama that hit The 100 internet places this year.
thank you so much tassosss for creating this comm haha
Monty deleting his mom's mind was so brutal. I already hated ALIE, but that was just so needlessly cruel. At least he got closure.
I feel like we should have seen ALIE on the Ark coming since Becca wanted to connect ALIE 2.0 with the Ark, but that was mindboggling to see ALIE there. I was so frustrated watchingt the characters stall this episode, but I suppose the twist of ALIE on the Ark makes up for it.
Poor Monty. He's had such a touch time this season, and I love him so much.
The Alie development was really well done. I wasn't expecting it but it makes total sense which is how the best twists are.
I have no idea what's coming next though (other than the character in the trailer for next week). I feel like all the options that have been telegraphed have been played out.
Having just made a season 2 vid, I can see Monty/Harper grow out of their experience in the Mountain. Also, I think there's the dearth of anyone else to hook up with going on too.
Murphy/Emori just better have a happy ending is what I'm saying.
As for the City of Light and having a copy there - I think so? So like, Alie and the City of Light exist as independent backups on which ever computer system she's on, is that what you mean? So if Monty deleted his mom on the Ark mainframe, that doesn't mean there's not a copy of her mind on the backpack or on the remains of the Ark in space. She could still be in the City of Light.
For people who still have a body in the real world, deleting Alie would mean the chip in their head is useless, and their brain takes back control. But Alie basically has all their bodies hostage, so that where your probability for mass death comes in.
